Dermal Fillers

Most popular products are Restylane, and Perlane. A clear gel injected into skin achieves its effect by providing volume. It lifts up the skin and reduces the skin crease, makes it softer, less noticeable. It leaves no scars.
It is similar to natural substances in our bodies, therefore it is very safe.

It used for lines on the forehead, around eyes, lower face lines between nose and corner of mouth: nasolabial lines. Corners mouth, and for enhancing lips.

Injections are given with very fine needle. A local anaesthetic is applied on the area for an hour before to reduce discomfort. Lip work requires dental anaesthetic.
Results are instant that last 6-9 months. Side-effects include discomfort, slight swelling, and occasionally minor bruising.

Treatment price starts from between £170 - £200.

Minor Surgery

For removal of skin tags, moles, small cysts or warts.

Skin tag can be removed depending on size, with electric or cryotherapy cautery (freezing with liquid nitrogen).

Electric cautery takes few minutes. Skin tag is injected with local anaesthetic and then cut with a hot wire in seconds. Major advantage is stitches/sutures are not required. Cut heals in 4-6 weeks, with normal skin.

Cryotherapy cautery uses liquid nitrogen. Liquid nitrogen is sprayed for about 10 seconds on to a skin tag or wart. There is a slight stinging sensation. Tag or wart will fall off after a week, leaving a scar that will fade in few weeks.
Usually treatment needs to be repeated several times at 2 weekly intervals.

Excision. Large skin tags, cysts or moles need to be cut out using a local anaesthetic and sutured. Skin sutures are normally removed about 7 days later.

Cost:

Electric cautery £25-100 depending on procedure.
Cryotherapy £25-50 depending on procedure.
Excision £50-100.
